  •   October 23, Zhengzhou Trademark Examination Cooperation Center (Zhengzhou TECC) started its operation, which is the fifth trademark examination cooperation center established outside of Beijing, after the centers in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Jinan.

      The establishment of trademark examination cooperation centers is one important methods to promote trademark registration facilitation reform by SAMR and CNIPA. Zhengzhou TECC is jointly organized by Henan AIC and CNIPA TECC, and follows the principle of dual managements and management priority in local. It is entrusted by Trademark Office of CNIPA to conduct trademark application onsite acceptance, examination and trademark laws promotion, to instruct trademark rights protection and to coordinate trademark and brand strategy implementation.

      According to instruction, the operation of Zhengzhou TECC would facilitate trademark application for applicants in Henan and six provinces in Middle China, improve trademark examination efficiency, shorten examination time limit, accelerate the formation of a trademark registration protection and utilization mechanism serving Henan and adjacent regions, and promote administrative resources to drive middle and western China’s trademark and brand development.
